Kas Szakiel, Commercial Manager of the Victorian Channels Authority Geelong – September 15, 2017.

Kas is the Commercial Manager of the Victorian Channels Authority in Geelong. He is both active in the community through his work with Rotary, and is well respected as a corporate professional, with a relaxed, but highly knowledgeable, presentation manner.

 

 

 

 

Ms. Alexandra Gunning, Branch Manager Participant Pathway Design Branch, National Disability Insurance Agency (“The challenges and opportunities of implementing Australia’s biggest social reform since Medicare.  Where are we now, what have we achieved and what’s our vision for the future?”) – July 21st, 2017

Alexandra has worked extensively across the disability services sector, having achieved 36 years’ experience in senior leadership roles with the Transport Accident Commission, Victorian Government, not-for-profit community services sector and now with the National Disability Insurance Agency.  Alexandra commenced her role with the NDIA as the Engagement Director in January 2013.

As one of the first employees in the Agency, Alexandra was instrumental in establishing one of the Agency first operational sites, located here in Geelong.

Alex is now the Branch Manager, Participant Pathway Design within the National Office of the Agency supporting more than 65 operational sites across Australia and over 80,000 people who receive supports funded by the Scheme.

 

Pauline Stewart (“Facebook – Friend or Foe?”) – May 19, 2017

Pauline is a semi-retired businesswoman who is very active in the community, especially through Rotary, where she is incoming President of the Rotary Club of Highton and is District PR Chairman.  More widely Pauline has set up and manages the social media, for a number of community organisations. Pauline sees social media as a powerful and useful IT and communication tool, both in the for-profit and not-for-profit arenas.  An excellent and patient teacher, Whilst acknowledging its deficiencies, Pauline will show Facebook as an incredible and useful corporate and social tool.

 

 

Justin Giddings, CEO of Avalon Airport (“Airport Events & Activities – now and into the future”) – March 17, 2017
